Mountaingate Community Association
Mountaingate Community Association (MCA)
MCA, formerly known as The Mountaingate Open Space Maintenance Association (MOSMA), was created in the mid-1970s when the Mountaingate Community was in the planning stages.
It is responsible for maintaining all the Mountaingate Open Space not within the boundaries of any individual homeowners’ association. This includes the Mountaingate Drive corridor as well as many of the open slopes surrounding the Mountaingate homes. It does not deal with issues that are HOA specific as those types of matters are handled by the Board of Directors and Officers of each of its member HOAs.
MCA has also assumed the responsibility of coordinating all security operations and marketing activities at Mountaingate including the maintenance of the Mountaingate website, www.mountaingate.la
It also is an advocate for all Mountaingate residents in the public arena and maintains relationships with surrounding communities, County and City elected officials, deals with LAFD and LAPD on a regular basis, and is a member of the Brentwood Community Council and the Hillside Federation. It also has filed court claims representing all of its members when issues that affect all of Mountaingate require legal advocacy.
MCA Members consist of all 10 Mountaingate HOAs as well as 6 single family homeowners and the Mountaingate Country Club.
MCA has a Board of 7 directors whom are elected to two-year terms by the MCA members. The Board conducts meetings every other month and an annual meeting usually in Q1 of each new year.
